anyone buy one from SASCO recently? this is the part that stumped my
alignment guy. Took a closer look at it myself today; it feels like
there's some kind of hole in the rear of it, but both a 5.5mm and 7/16"
allen wrench are too small to grab in it. (I can almost feel the 7/16"
catching, but not quite.) 1/4" or 6mm are too big.
if someone has one of these that isn't installed yet can you take a look
at it and tell me if you have a similar problem, or if it's designed to
be turned with a Torx bit or something? I didn't look at it real close
before I installed it, and adjusting it would be awful spiffy.
By the way, I came to a realization today. My car will always be
"almost driveable" as that's the state it's been in for the last two
months. I'm always working on it, but it's never actually fixed, nor
would I feel comfortable throwing the keys to a
non-automotively-inclined type person. Today's issue (besides the
alignment) is that there are no front shocks as I returned the ones I
just bought, they were mismatched on jounce damping (badly) Of course
the old ones I took off were thrown out long ago...

Ooops. I meant, of course, that 5.5mm or 7/32" were too small.

that's what I EXPECTED... now the question is, do I try to drive in a
1/4" with a BFH, or disassemble and inspect?

Allen wrenches are cheap. Get a 1/4" one, and carefully grind a bit of
a taper on the end. Maybe the hole in the end of the pin is abit
burred up.

Disassemble, inspect and fix. Easier task out of the car.
