Dear Red States...

We've decided we're leaving. We intend to form our own country, and
we're taking the other Blue States with us.

In case you aren't aware, that includes Hawaii, Oregon,Washington,
Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and all the Northeast. We
believe this split will be beneficial to the nation, and especially
to the people of the new country of New California.

To sum up briefly: You get Texas, Oklahoma and all the slave states.
We get stem cell research and the best beaches. We get Elliot
Spitzer. You get Ken Lay.

We get the Statue of Liberty. You get Dollywood.
We get Intel and Microsoft. You get WorldCom.
We get Harvard. You get Ole' Miss.
We get 85 percent of America's venture capital and entrepreneurs. You
get Alabama.
We get two-thirds of the tax revenue, you get to make the red states
pay their fair share.

Since our aggregate divorce rate is 22 percent lower than the
Christian Coalition's, we get a bunch of happy families. You get a
bunch of single moms.

Please be aware that Nuevo California will be pro-choice and
anti-war, and we're going to want all our citizens back from Iraq at
once. If you need people to fight, ask your evangelicals. They have
kids they're apparently willing to send to their deaths for no
purpose, and they don't care if you don't show pictures of their
children's caskets coming home. We do wish you success in Iraq, and
hope that the WMDs turn up, but we're not willing to spend our
resources in Bush's Quagmire.

With the Blue States in hand, we will have firm control of 80 percent
of the country's fresh water, more than 90 percent of the pineapple
and lettuce, 92 percent of the nation's fresh fruit, 95 percent of
America's quality wines (you can serve French wines at state dinners)
90 percent of all cheese, 90 percent of the high tech industry, most
of the U.S. low-sulfur coal, all living redwoods, sequoias and
condors, all the Ivy and Seven Sister schools, plus Harvard, Yale,
Stanford, Cal Tech and MIT.

With the Red States, on the other hand, you will have to cope with 88
percent of all obese Americans (and their projected health care
costs), 92 percent of all U.S. mosquitoes, nearly 100 percent of the
tornadoes, 90 percent of the hurricanes, 99 percent of all Southern
Baptists, virtually 100 percent of all televangelists, Rush Limbaugh,
Bob Jones University, Clemson and the University of Georgia.

We get Hollywood and Yosemite, thank you.

Additionally, 38 percent of those in the Red states believe Jonah was
actually swallowed by a whale, 62 percent believe life is sacred
unless we're discussing the death penalty or gun laws, 44 percent say
that evolution is only a theory, 53 percent that Saddam was involved
in 9/11 and 61 percent of you crazy bastards believe you are people
with higher morals then we lefties.

By the way, we're taking the good pot, too. You can have that dirt
weed they grow in Mexico.

Peace out,
Blue States

As a Canuck I don't even find this funny.Im not sure how much you US guys
know about our Bloc Quebec, but their a major political party thats paid for
by all of us,whos main purpose is to break up the country(Quebec leaves)..
The last refurendrum was so close it was scary, like 49/51%,we came that
close to wrecking our great white north.
These people are kinda like the herpes virus, you can't get rid of them, they
just really flare up every so many years.
Theres a real possibility it could happen.
If you look at a map, you'll see that it would not be so good for the
Atlantic Provinces.

The only half assed attempt at such a thing is a group of religious
fundi's that are starting a community in a South Carolina. They hope to
grow big enough to take over state government, then leave the union and
set up a "Christian government" Not growing all that fast though, just a
small community flying a Christian flag so far. Story here:

I wouldn't be too concerned... from the looks of their website I'd suspect
that there are about a handful of families involved.

What kind of crap do you read to find things like this?

I like to read the fundi's websites to keep a eye on them. The
lastest news there is that God sent Katrina because of all the sinning
in the Big Easy.

And those floods that were in Idaho or whereever it was we were
comparing with N.O.?

Heh...  Then he should have grown the storm to wipe out the entire state
of Louisiana as it has been a center of major corruption for decades.

One of my (few) congressional heroes, Tom Tancredi is trying to take
action to prevent either LA or NO from administrating any federal relief
funds. That is sound thinking IMNSHO...

Money will be wasted anyway it's done. Saw the nightly news about out of
state fire fighters being flown in to help on FEMA's dime. They ended up
in Atlanta, got one day of sexual harassment training another day of
bull sh.t classes then sat for a few days. When they bitched that they
wanted to get in the disaster area, FEMA flew them home.  Look for a lot
of "no bid" contracts coming up.

They got off easier than the guys from California, a Fire rescue crew
volunteered and got told to ride the bus from California (FEMA wouldnt
pay for air fare). They ended up sitting in Houston.

JP,

A: there's probably not enough of 'em.

B: Wouldn't you be better off without 'em anyway? <G>

Same thing applies to Quebec. If Quebec left Confederation (the
legal/historical term for the formation of Canada from separate
British colonies), I'd be crying all the way to the bank.

guess who got the no bid contract to clean up the military base(s) in
LA. Thats right the big H.
midlant@earthlink.net - 14 Sep 2005 17:46 GMT
When the old smokestack (Rene L.) was doing his thing and it looked
like that province might split, some in the US thought that the
Maretimes, being separeted from the western 2/3rds of Canada, would end
up as US states.

As I was in Boston, I was in favour of that plan. Still am, for that
matter.

I hope you don't have to fight a bloody civil war to keep your country
together.

It really screwed up ours for a lot of years when we had our little
adventure in the 1850's and 1860's.

Stupid Frogs - need to learn 'Merican.

I got a big laugh out of the brit bus driver one afternoon when we landed
in England after 6 summertime weeks in the sandbox.  He was bitching about
how rough they had it, and I reminded him how good they had it:
1. some of the women looked good - and you can tell ugly from non because
they ain't all covered up
2. they have beer - a bit too warm - but they have it.
3. they speak a dialect of american there.

He laughed and laughed - too bad I wss serious.

Dear Blue States,

It will be worth it to get rid of the northeast.
By the way,  The northeast is the only region of the US that is
declining  in poplation.   Where are they all going?  That's right,
the Red states.  Ask anybody south of the line.  You can't fart
without 3 of them telling you how they used to do it up north!!

Yeah, but most of them can't get outta the house to vote!  Most of them have
to lean over, either left, or right to FART!  And have to be righted
afterwards!

Hi Jim,

Let's see, you guys are leaving and taking all the good stuff?  I
remember that you liked the mountains pretty well around Townsend , Tn.
-   Tennessee -- now that's a red state right?

Where's Sasco located? Is it in the same area as Studebaker
International?  I get confused about those states north of the Mason -
Dixon.  Oh yeah - Indiana that's it.  It's red too isn't it?

We'll just stay here in the red states with the Studebaker parts stash
and the pretty mountains.  Well, if Dollywood happens to be near
Townsend, so be it.

How you 'doin' Jim? Haven't heard from you in a while.

Jack
