Interesting R3 Car

Found this on Ebay the other day.  Got to chatting with the owner about the
factory Packard V8 in the car.  He swears it's a Packard R3 engine, because
someone told him (an SDC member) you could tell by the valve covers.  I've
looked at the engine and ask for the engine serial number.  Have I missed
something, or what?  Nice car.  Could it be that elusive one of a kind R3
Packard President?  Bo

Given what he thinks the vin # is it could be one made on Mars. <G>  Strange
what people will believe.
