I am in the process of installing new carpet that was purchased from
Studebaker International Inc.in my GT.  The carpet for the rear floor
board has a bound edge that faces toward the rear seat.  Does this
bound edge go underneath the rear seat or does it lay at the base of
the rear seat?  If the bound edge is supposed to be at the base of the
rear seat, what holds it in place?  One more question.  If the bound
edge is installed at the base of the rear seat, what covers the bare
step up to the seat from the floor?

Thanks,
Richard

You have the wrong carpet set or a poor replacement. You should have
a long thin strip precut for the seat step up. The bond edge lays over
that strip once it's glued down.
