Hi All,
I need some advice on some factory fog lights. This is my first Ebay auction
and I do want to get it right. I bought some bumper foglights off of a 1955
President 4 door.
So I patterned my ad off of others that were successful.
I also assumed that Studebaker being as frugal as they were, that these
would interchange with 2 door models.
But I do not have the factory parts manuals to check the numbers. This
morning I received a email that the  foglights would not fit the profile of
the 55 2 door bumper. At noon I went out and compared them to the bumper of
the 62 Hawk and it looked like they would fit. But I 'm not taking the
bumper apart to prove it. Also I know the front sheet metal between a 55 2
door and 4 door are different. Could someone tell me if the foglight part
numbers were different between the 2 door and the 4 door. Thanks
Malcom

I see only one version of the "grill guard" that houses the fog light, in
my parts book.  Right side is 536710w.  Left is 536711w.  They fit 16G & 6H
models.  Which are '55 President, Champion and Commander.

Thanks Mike,
That kinda puts my mind at ease. I don't want to sell somebody something
that won't fit. How should I go about answering the person who said the
profile was different? I don't want to just ignore him.

I believe that the sedan-c/k bumpers were the same in 1955.  I know that
the '55 sedan and later Hawks share the same front bumper.

Tell him that was true on '53s and '54s, but they got smarter in '55.

Thanks to all who replied.
I posted your answers, on my Ebay ad and metioned that everyone who likes
Studebaker should visit the Newsgroup. The answer was a lot clearer, but
Ebay said I was over the limit of characters, I still had two to go.
So I shorten it a little bit.
But again a big thanks to all.
