Absolutely correct in every detail. Even listed a couple I over looked and
I'm one of those trained judges, too!
Boy, the money someone would ask you to pay for their mistakes. Nice car
for a driver, but I'd not be inclined to dool out such a large chunk of
change for it with any hopes of entering it in anything but the modified
class.
I love those dual rear antennas!

If it is, you'll have to get it from Penske.

I think you guys are missing the fact that this is an original R2 Hawk.
So what if it has some issues that can easily be revised if you want
to go for 100% authentic.
How many R2 Hawks are there for sale in the country right now,
especially as clean?
John Poulos - 04 Nov 2005 06:28 GMT
There are two that I know of.<g> In fairness, feel free to judge
Goldie if you like:

I see it still has '64 parking light lenses,..
and of course, the wrong lighter knob and the trunk latch is mounted
wrong (ducking and running...)

I have the correct lenses now that I don't own the car. <g> The
lighter and latch are 63 GT correct, just not "judge correct" with the
old judges. The front inner fenders still are bolted on to the new
fenders too. The previous owner used threaded inserts for the bolts and
it was so too hard to change for 3 or 4 points.
