I have driven from near Buffalony to Tulsa many times. Buffalo, Columbus,
Indianapolis, St. Louis, Joplin, Tulsa, etc on to Dallas.
The prettiest part of the drive is from St. Louis to the south. This time of
year it should be great.

The colors of the trees here in Oklahoma is somewhat mottled, not bright,
but still many pastels.

PS: taking the route I described , the only tolls you'll pay are in
Oklahoma.
