I listed a Dodge on eBay for a Studebaker friend a while back. There was a
'58 Studebaker sedan in the background in one of the pictures. I go so many
questions from bidders wanting to know if the '58 MoPar was for sale that I
added to the listing to explain that it was a Studebaker, not a MoPar.

They didn't all survive. It just seems that way because this same car
keeps getting re-listed on eBay. Maybe he will eventually realize that
the high bid established by an open auction is really the value of his
car.
There was mention of '58 Packard hardtops and '59 Cadillacs. I have
owned one of each and liked them both.

I believe that the '57-58 Packard sedans/hard tops etc. were the closest
to challenge the DeSoto's outrageous fins. Hated 'em then but they sure
are cool today.
I even toyed with the idea of scoffing up that '58 Packard station wagon
that did not receive any bids and is only about 150 miles from me. But
I need another project like a hole in the head...
