...was rebuilding trunk hinges for C/Ks with new bushings and pins?  I
find myself in need of a pair; now that I've installed new weatherstrip
on my '55 I am seeing how abysmal the fit of the trunk lid is.  It's
about 3/8" too far towards the rear of the car and doesn't seem to want
to adjust out, with lots of slop in the hinges.  I'm already planning on
ordering a driver's side from SASCO, but the pass. side is apparently
NLA and that's the one that's the worst.  I do have access to an extra
pass. side, in similarly worn condition.

Nate,
I will have new custom rivets installed in rebuilt C&K passenger side
trunk hinges early in January.

Stelfords Inc. still list NOS right Hawk trunk hinges at $55 ea.(Part No. 303030). I picked one up for my GT Hawk, the plating was kind of corroded but otherwise it was fine. Here is the web link for the Hardtop body parts section. Lots of photos so it may take a while to load for those using dial up.

You'd be surprised what Stelfords has! Lots of NOS goodies that haven't been
around for a while!

Never heard of them before, honestly.  But thanks for the tip, I will
drop them a line.

A NGer emailed and pointed out that my previous post on this thread was one month in the future, 1/26/2006. Any idea why this happened and is there something I need to do to fix it? Thanks
