Damn that is sad it would be a 500.00 parts car around here. The eng. is not
a 63 it is probably a 232

In the rest of the country it is probably a $1500.00 "builder".
The engine is probably a 57-58.

It kind of reminds me of my own experience, when I purchased my GT Hawk
about 8 years ago, I did not know about the SDC or this forum.

My purchase was for close to the same amount, my advise to this person
would be go ahead put another 6k in to it, and you will have an
evnyable driver, it may never win any show prizes, but who needs dust
collectors. Rebuild the engine and trans. put new Turner brakes on it
an interior from JP, and a decent paint job, maybe a set of cragers and
a flow master exaust.
and belive me you will turn heads.
