What type of transmission fluid should be used to top off a powershift?
The repair manual calls out type "A", is this Dexron? That transmission
later became the Ford FMX and would have used type "F" in that case. I
also have installed an electric choke thermostat on the carburetor and
want to put an in-line fuse in the line to protect it. Any thoughts on
what amp fuse to use? When I used an ammeter in line it only was drawing
less than 2 amps and that sure seems to be too few. Thanks for any help!

Depends on whats in there now??
Real Type A has not been available for at least 25-30 years.
Go with one or the other.
PS. Anything you find marked Type A could be anything the recycler put
in it.

I prefer Type F for the firm shifts and minimum slippage.
