I got on Travelocity last year about this time to try to find a room near
the Intl in Spokane. They found me a Days Inn about 4 blocks away for $74.00
night. I tried to book it, but they would not accept my pass word. I then
called the Days Inn direct, & got the same room for $25.00 LESS than
Travelocity offered it to me for.
Recently, I found a room through Hotwire, but checked with the motel before
booking, & got the same room for about $3.00 less. The motel is the Baymont,
right next to the Holiday Inn. I have an extra bed for a non-snoring,
non-smoking ng'er.

I always call the motel directly for a reservation. The owner of a Comfort
Inn told me that he has to pay the central reservations office $10 for each
reservation they make for him. This is probably true of the on-line things
like Travelocity.
