Strange ebay notifications

A little while ago I got a series of ebay messages re "sorry, your item
didn't sell".  The emails were from October 2004 and they were my items.
Did ebay's computer hiccup or is this a new phishing attempt?

Never mind.  Old fumble fingers opened an old folder right above my
Anti-Spam folder.
