You could probably rent a chauffeur driven limo to drive you from one of the
major airports cheaper than getting a flight into Harrisburg. The easy drive
from BWI, Pittsburg or Philly is a breeze compared to the 1600 mi drive from
Texas!

And I'll betcha that dragging a bunch of Stude stuff to the airport
would drive the TSA bonkers...

Last night, New York's LaGurdia airport announced a crackdown, on all
airlines. In the hopes of serving more people to more destinations
they plan on banning all airlines that use equipment smaller than 737's. No
more 15 daily flights to a small market with 15 20 seat planes.
If the airlines want to serve a market into and out of the NY metro area
using LGA, then they must drop down to two or three flights and use
MD-88/B717 etc. Reading between the lines, it is a crackdown on regional
carriers, flying a major airline flag. Too many small planes that cannot use
the ramps, Too may flights going out empty, and tying up gates that are
desinged for larger commercial planes.
Years ago you could fly NY to Boston on a full sized plane leaving every
hour on the hour, now they are sending out toy planes evry 20 min so they
can connect to other small planes goin to smaller markets.

I remember the old shuttle (Eastern) well. Connies, then Electras
followed by either B-727 and/or DC-9 aircraft.
LaGuardia is a nightmare and becomes much worse should even a hint of
precipitation occur...

Wow! It only took all these years for 'em to wake up!! The last time
that I was passing through LGA, I was bumped off of a 4 motah turbo prop
that held about 30 or 40 passengers. I was put on the next flight about
an hour later and just wondered why they didn't fly larger capacity planes.
Of course, the $300 voucher was ok...

(If they wanna use small planes, let 'em use a small airport!)
