Just got back from a Sat-Weds trip to Harrah's in Laughlin Nv. and
had a great time, as did the wife. (She's ready to move out there <g>)
Everyone there was much friendlier then the east coast casino's, the
suite was nicer, food was better and they had a.s kissing down to a science.
    If you go don't miss:

1.The London bridge jet boat tour.
2.The river walk to the casino's with a stop at the Flamingo where
they'll give you and the wife $100 each back on your bids. (I hit the
slots for $400, kept the money and Marsha got her $100 back.)
3. The antique train ride at the Ramada.
4. Grab a In-Out burger if you don't have the chain near you.
5. Do the buffet at Harrah's (Asian/American/Italian food lines.)

We saw the 9-11 exhibit on tour while we were there, hard to walk
though, but a must see. Some pix here, 9-11 pix first, then just
Marsha's tourist pix.

Before we went to California in '02 to pick up the '64 Avanti someone on the
NG said In-N-Out Burgers rule!
Do they ever.  If they ever make it back this way Mickey D and the King are
in trouble.  Everything is fresh and burgers are made to order, not handed
out from a heat lamp table.  I think they even grow their own potatoes.  In
the Mid-Atlantic Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries are close, but more
expensive (NY and Connecticut to Florida).

I'm not a big fan of Five Guys - everything is great except the burgers
themselves.  There's enough meat to them, but they are so thin that you
don't get that juicy, burgery pink goodness in the middle of the pattie.

Now Hardee's - I don't understand why they haven't locked up the fast
food market.  Heck, even Checkers is better than BK or McD's...

replace "fly" with "com" to reply.

Nate, until you've had a double-double combo at in-n-out ( double cheese
burger, fries and large soda), you haven't lived! of course, you
shouldn't eat too many of them...

order it "animal style" and it's even better!

I thought the casino workers might have been friendly because of there
training, but even the In-Out help was joking and friendly with the
customers, everyone was pretty laid back everywhere.

Sometime the teens out here modify the In-N-out Burger bumper stickers.
It then says
"In-N-Out urge"

On to the poorer parts, how did you like the auto museum?

It's on the Colorado river, Laughlin is on the Nevada side across the
river from Arizona and about a hour and a half from Vagas.

A nice place to visit, but hotter than hell in the summer.
