I make every effort to shop local for most everything.Costs me more but I
just feel my money should support locals.Walmart,Harbor Freight, any big box
store I avoid.Plus the service is better.

Welcome to the world of retail. You won't find many full time employee's at
any of the other big retailers either. In area of the northeast Mainstreets
were dead before Walmart arrived.

If I'm going to buy from a "big box," it is from Costco.
Much nicer management, so happier (and richer) workers.

Yeah, Costco ''seems'' to be the only decent big boxer around.

My question is if things are so bad as an employee of Wal Mart, Why do
hundreds of people apply for jobs when the new stores open?

Simple,.... they are the working poor. And that's where the working poor
shop. WalMart supports any company that can provide a product for a fair
price. They then come back at you for a better price. Soon enough the product
is being made in China for a better price. Me?.... I will not even walk in
that RAT store and hope they implode one day!

ANY job can be better than none..but, in some places their turn
over rate is pretty steep
