Spent the weekend as a course worker at Maxton, North Carolina for the
finals for the 2006 season of the East Coast Timing Association's speed
trials. Look at the pictures and tell me what is missing -- yep, no
Studebakers.  I know there as some fast Studes out there, I would like
to see 'em at Maxton in the Spring.

By-the-way, the "Kitty Litter Shuffle" as denoted in one of the
pictures is what happens when a motor goes bad and leaves large amounts
of oil on the track!

Well - there have been Studes there before, and I expect that there
will again.
Nice to see that the ECTA website has been updated - it's much nicer!

It has been a long time since any Studes raced at Maxton. There was a
'56 Power Hawk w/a Caddy engine in April of 2005. None since then.
You are correct, the new set up for the website is great. Most
important it is up to date.
