But it "sounded" so right. Of course, that is why and how those things are
written. They are made up to appeal to  pre-concieved notions, and the
public swallows them every time.

Sort of like the "He lied to us" mantra tossed out there, huh?.
Works both ways, depending on who's agenda is being bandied about.
A agree with you about the public swallowing it part.

All I'll say about that is that with subpoena and investigative power
shifting, we will absolutely find out who lied and about what. I look
forward to the education, though some will find it painful.

What I fear is that nothing of substance will come from it.
Too many that are going to be running for office will not push the issue
because if they do,
it will come out that they knew full well about all the true details all
along, and voted knowing those details..
Then it will come out that in order to posture for their own election,
they hindered and harmed the progress that could have been made,
and ended up prolonging the situation and making things worse.
But, as you say....we shall see.

I hope they don't spend a lot of time trying to assign blame for the
mess rather then  just fixing it.

It goes something like this : A fix is found by one party, and the
other will oppose it so the other guys won't get credit with the voters.<g>
