Since it's a repro, don't get in a bidding war.

I have a new book that the copy was made for this banner...
I bought the book for $40 a few years back, but have seen them sell
for close to $300 on Ebay from time to time.
Most of the books have sold in the $50 to $75 range.
Betcha the price will be reasonable after he sells a few.
Nice repro item.
My wife already said 'NO!' to the living room <lol>

That would look GREAT in my den! Flathead.

That banner must be made of some very heavy fabric, with a cost of $14.00
for postage!!

Not far off with the price of the mailing tube and UPS.

The Post off charges more for tubes, so I use the 3 sided mailing boxes they
have for mailing long items. They are free, & cost much less to mail than a
tube of similar length.

Just be sure you stick your label on the Priority Mail side.  Otherwise you
will be charged for Express Mail.

I hope that works, I was told by my post office that down the line some
ExpressMail or Flat Rate Priority Mail boxes being sent as regular Priority
Mail (stickers covering real box print) are being charged the "real" box
rate with the recipient not receiving their package but a "postage due"
notice.  I guess it's Phase II of the post office enforcing their free boxes
program... now that they've started stamping the insides to keep people from
just turning them inside out and shipping them regular mail.

Those are dye sublimated. He must be doing them himself or off shore as just
the raw materials and ink costs would come close to his price. Not
considering the $20,000 to $65,000 printer.

I just got a catalog by Brother who have updated their on garemnt printer.
It is "almost" as good as a fairly good silkscreened shirt. Still not the
quality that I want or would sell. The technology and the mechanics are
really neat. It is small enough to take to shows.

I can do 100 Studebaker banners for about 3K-4K from the company
that did them for Studebaker.

You nailed it, they would run you $30 to $40 and they would be the screen
printed ink on satin. You would need to get $75 to $80 to make a reasonable
profit.
But, and I say BUT, what does that do to the market of originals? Remember
the 1956 Banner you sold me? It was a fair price at $250, but could you move
100 of that banner or any banner in a timely manner? As you know,  nickel
and dimming items over an extended period of time is not cost effective,

I am not a "maven" on banners, but the CE one is too contemporary looking,
too modern, not a design that Studebaker would produce.

I've sold 200 of the Avanti banners at $50 20 years ago for the
first 100, then $75 for the last batch. Now, I think the market is
saturated.<g>
