Does anyone have a spare oil filler cap for a 57/58 supercharged Hawk.
This is an original engine with the filler tube to the left of the
blower and I believe it would have a half tubular extension that would
index it on the filler tube?
Jerry
AFIK, it is the same as other V-8's , & I have NOS & used in stock. What do
JP & other experts know about it?

It is indeed the same as the earlier V-8 caps used with the large
cast-iron filler neck. It was changed when the aluminum filler neck was
intoduced (1960-ish?), and again when the caps were moved to the valve
covers.
I just checked the parts-books:
Part #531000 is for all '55-60 V'8s (also 6-cyl) w/o AC , (heavy
cast-iron filler neck)
Part #537527 is for '55-'60 AC equipped cars...
Of course the '56J Golden Hawk- has a different one on the Packard
Engine....
It changed to Part #1558193 in '61 when the aluminum stem was introduced,
They went crazy in '63-'64 with several different caps depending on
equipment (PCV, Supercharger, etc...)
