I got home last night after enjoying the Meet immensely. Best weather we
have had for a meet in years. I hooked up my old faithful cheap HP digital
camera to the computer to download the hundreds of pix I took at the Meet,
at the Museum, at the Oliver House and at the drag strip. The download
dialog box came up "0 pictures downloaded". Somehow my flash card was
totally deleted. I pulled it and some 2005 pix were still in the camera's
internal memory, so it appears to work. What can happen to a card anyhow?
I had pix of Ted Harbit, Dick Steinkamp and others running at the drags.

Well, you didn't win the Hard Luck trophy and you'll be able to get a
good variety of shots elsewhere.
Not up to your usual sad tales, this time, Paul.

Don't panic. There is a $39.95 program that I bought after the Omaha meet
when the computer went south. The program was able to recover almost all my
pictures from the meet.. It is called WinUndelete.

Thanks, but probably too late. I reformatted the card to see if I could get
it to work again. I don't think the computer had anything to do with it. I
don't use it to delete the photos in the camera. After download I delete
all pix on the card from the camera's menu.

I never use the picture software to delete files from the camera chip.
It still leaves stuff behind on the chip.
I format the chip using the camera's format function.
Then the pic software doesn't get confused.
