Hey Guys, I am looking for a good replacement frame for my '53 hardtop. I believe that from '53 to about '61 they should be interchangeable. I am located in Maryland and don't mind traveling a few hundred miles, if anyone has something I can buy. Any leads would be appreciated, also. Thanks Stay away from any 6-cylinder early C/K frames... Best choice is a GT Hawk frame (you have to remove 2-brackets), next best choice is 1961 Hawk (there is some ambiguity whether the frame is thicker than earlier years...but nothing concrete), The V-8 C/K frames from '55-'60 are the same... somewhat better than your original frame.... but not enough of an "improvement".
