Does anyone here have experience with the best way to remove water spots
from auto glass?

talk to a glass shop. there is a 'something' that you can use to
gently polish spots off, CAREFULLY
its a fine powder..

If it appears to be lime deposits, from hard water, I've used straight
vinegar on a soft cloth.

Excellent, I'll try vinegar first, the escalate from there.

If it appears to be lime deposits, from hard water, I've used straight

If all else fails try this kit from Eastwood's. I have used it with success
on stubborn water spots.
