I am very tired of all the 'piling on' done on the forums..
It's not just this one, or the SDC forum...
Seems to be most of them..
Someone posted a pic of a custon M series on the SDC forum...
Within two minutes there were post's about how someone doesn't like
it.
I don't think it matters whether it is a turnip, or a toad.
Somebody will bitch about it.
And now some of the 'other' forums have gone all PC....
Topic's are being deleted because someone might be offended about
something...
Sure.. Warnings were given...
But then it started......
Plonk! Topic 'gone'...

Why Jeffy, I thought you were the model of PC...<G>...
Soon, if you aren't one of the 'chosen' then your post will be
'plonked'....
As it is now, if you don't have a few thousand posts you are pretty
much ignored...
Studebaker George
BTW, you going to the FL state meet? I could bring your light for the
Zip Van that has been sitting on my shelf in the office for so long...

Jeff that is why I stay away from the SDC forum.
The best forum on the net is the Studebaker Truck Talk
and it has some problems now and then also but what don't?

Yessir....
It is a funny, but kind of a sad reflection on everyone (including me)
I suppose.
Little cliques form up and then it's 'game on'....
I should know better....
But... I suppose it comes with the territory..
I 'share' my stupid experiences with everyone because they are
sometimes funny, sometimes goofy...
Because of that judgements get made..
Welll.... (as Steve Martin says)..... Excuuuuuuuse me! <lol>
I, too, like the truck site.... And I really like Sonny's Racing
Studebakers site.
Seems like it (Sonny's site) is growing for similar reasons...
(and you are right George... I must have a thick skull <g>)

Well......
George made on post on the SDC forum...
It took about a minute <lol>
(copy)
Jack is right, the rest is just name twisting.
This thread and this forum is really beginning to stink like
Corvette...
StudebakerGeorge
tic toc tic toc....
Sorry, I disagree What a great, informative thread from my seat!
Tommo's original post was riveting to me, and the ensuing discussion
by some of the marque's top minds is a joy to read to those of us who
are nearly Studebaker-illiterate, but whose passion for them rivals
that of most anyone I love the evolution of these discussions and
descriptions to arrive at a correct set of terms. I offer my sincere
thanks to the brains of the Stude world for allowing me to continue to
learn
One more thing: It was I who started the R3 for sale thread. I did so
in the hopes of this type of discussion, and in no way did I presume
to infer that the cars were legit, or that any descriptive terms were
accurate; I figured that anyone in the market to spend R3 Avanti money
would certainly investigate and verify the descriptions of said
vehicles. Thanks again!

.Well Jeffy.. Check out the NEXT post..but better look fast as I recon
it will be 'plonked'...<G>
The 'ol lady is gone for a week and I feel like stirrin' up the
weasels..
BTW...
YOU HEARD IT HERE, NOT THE SDC FORUM....
The next Florida State Meet will be hosted by the Big Bend Chapter in
Tallahassee Fl.
Date not picked yet as we have to be sure and pic a day both college
teams do not have home games and the schedules are not out yet.

George. . .
It doesn't really matter, they aren't winning anyway. <G>
Just let me know if you need any help!
And make it your own event!

I agree with you Jeff up to a point.
Maybe its just me, but when this place was the busiest, (200 to 300
posts per day) it seems 97 percent were flame war, character
assassination, type of comments. No doubt there were some Stude related
gems among the debris, but were hard to dig out sometimes.

The forum has a lot of 'R-holes'...those who are obsessed with the R
powered cars and numbers. Those cars are really neat and an important
part of Studebaker history, but they are a SMALL part and shouldn't
overshadow the rest.
Who has the biggest wallet (substitute for johnson in later life) and
can own more number correct POS engines that a well built and CHEEP
small block will murder....yeah, I said it, blasphemy that it is and
certainly I would never stick a Chevy in one of my Studes (unless it
came with one or the hull was slipping toward Korea) but it is the
truth. We have a local club of street rodders and they are such a
happy bunch...I like attending their events. They are not burdened by
numbers or loyalties. They just have a good time...take a lesson, R-
holes....
I have always liked Studebakers because...they are just plain cool.
NOT because there is some silly one of a hundred twenty five engines
stuck under the hood.
The racing forum at least makes no bones what they are about and I
don't see too awful much 'blustering'..
Fire away guys, the flame wars at least were entertaining...
