The Atlantic Canada chapter of the Studebaker drivers club had our anual
fall tour yesterday. We crossed the Northumberland straight on the ferry from
Caribou Nova Scotia, drove up Prince Edward Island, stopped at a cool old
private museum,a Beefalo farm,an apple orchard to pick apples, and stopped
for lunch.Them we dropped into Doug and Roberta Parkmans place to look over
his Studebakers and other collector cars. Then drove on to Borden and crossed
the Confederation bridge into New Brunswick and back home.Had a few showers
through the day but it didn't dampen anyones enthusiasm.Saw 3 cars our
members own for the first time,an Avanti in need of paint,a nice 48 Land
Cruiser, and Harry Hutts recently aquired beautiful 63 GT Hawk he bought on
E-Bay.I think everyone had a great time, except for Karen Jarvis when she
tripped walking over a narrow stone bridge and fell in the mud.No
damage, except for her muddy knees and dented pop can, provided us with a
great laugh though.
