This was going to be the day of the Sky Hawk returning to the fore front of it's extreme makeover. However, I needed to get a few home projects done and since it close to Halloween I had a project that needed finished once and for all.  My Waterfall in front of the house has not worked for a year now and every year I have Blood flowing down it for the kids.  So. I started to hardwire up the house and since I was doing this I was also prewiring for a new generator that I not gotten yet.  Back to the waterfall I dug the trench and lay the pipe and drill the hole though the cement block ran the wires.  I have a few small items left to do then the real chore starts of cleaning the pond of the waterfall this week.  It will get done as always but this time right.

The Transtar will be in the Halloween picture. . .I will have 2 Boney old drivers sitting in the seats with lightening and fog and thunder going off around them. And me Drinking Beer and passing the good candy. .. .shooting for a record of  $150 worth of the stuff.

I was planning on doing a real Halloween thing this year since it's the first year in the new neighborhood.  Then I was invited to the Atlanta races next weekend so it's "Baa Humbug!!!" to the little candy beggers this year.

Wait until you see what the little "beggars" do with your abode...

BTW, I can't get my scanner to work.  The scanning bulbs don't light up.
S/W seems OK...

Have you contacted the seller?

Not yet...  The plug in is loaded and the scanner is seen in PhotoShop.
But when I try to scan a slide, I get some sort of calibration error and
I do not see the fluorescent tubes lighting.

I contacted the seller today and he suggested trying the other bulb.  No go!

I suspect that these bulbs have a lot of hours on 'em and they are
probably both bad.  The seller indicated that the bulb shouls come on
when you turn the machine on.  Is this how it works on yours?

BTW, he did to offer an exchange if I continue to have problems.  But, I
might try getting anew bulb first.

On mine the bulb comes on when I flip the power switch in the back.  Did you
get a spare bulb?  Mine was connected to the inside of the cover.

Yep, I got a spare bulb but neither works.  I guess that I'll take the
offer to swap it out...

That's what I'd do... chances of two bulbs being dead are pretty remote.
Sounds like you're not getting power to the bulb.  Have you tried turning it
on and inserting a slide to see if it attempts to scan it... it should
slowly move down after you insert it.

Yes, the machine attempts to move and calibrate, which I assume is some
sort of "white" cal.  Just no light, hence the error message.

I'll send an email to get the exchange underway tomorrow.
