If anyone has read anything I've sent to the newsgroup and made it to the end
you will see that I have a 57 Broadmoor.
This is the first picture of it and from now on I'll be keep an online
pictorial diary of "before and after" pictures.
The picture below is the day my Dad and I went and picked it up. It was rainy,
chilly and I know I at least was soaked to the bone. On a bright note though we
didn't have to take it to the car wash to get the grime off of it and thanks to
my Dads "never buy a car and not get it running the first day" motto it was
running within about 4 hours and idling perfectly.
Here's what we're doing this weekend: the new gas tank and fuel lines get
installed and my new Edelbrock 1403 goes on it. Before we crank it again though
I'll put new radiator hoses and change the fluids.
I'm hoping we can get started on the brakes Saturday too. I've decided I'm just
going to go ahead and put disks all the way around even though I have power
assist. That reminds me, I had better order what I need for that project so I
don't have too much down time.
I'm not restoring this car. This is going to be a custom project of sorts.
Let's see if my wallet can match my dreams. I hate when I write checks my a.s
can cash so I'll keep quiet about my plans until we do them.
Damn I'm excited............
Thanks in advance for all of your help Dad. Now GET THAT SHOP BUILT!

That car reminds me of one owned by a family friend when I was a kid.
Almost the same colors and scheme IIRC.  Cool car, Lee!  Any chance of
seeing it in person at the next meeting?

That is one cool ride! My wife and I just brought home a 57 Provencial about
a month ago. Looks like your wagon needs less work than ours. Disks, and
dual master are first on our list as well. Keep us posted.

There was a Broadmoor and a Parkview at the PSW zone meet. Broadmoor had spring
colors on it.

Your wagon is very nice and will cut a fine figure there in Georgia.

I'm gonna have to wait until the one after this one. I wont have the new brakes
on it for about 2 weeks (crossing fingers). But then after that I plan on
driving it to our club meetings while I fix it up.
I've loved wagons since my mom got her Vega wagon back in the 70's, lol. I've
been wanting one for years and this one came along. I'm thrilled to have this
and not be stuck with something (chevy wagon) that everyone restores.
