Had our first frosty morning here in Nova Scotia,came out of work at 7am and
the Lark started before the engine turned over once.The auto choke is
working fine,I guess that carb I bought on E-Bay really was rebuilt.The 259
seems to work better the more its used and dosen't mind the cool weather a
bit.Im going to keep driving it till the snow comes.

My old T-Cab had a 259 with a Stromberg carb and never failed to start.
It was a daily driver back in RI and saw many sub zero mornings and late nights.

Best part is that I would run it for no more than thirty seconds before
getting underway.  When those carbs are in top condition, I think that
they are unbeatable...

Yep,thats what Im running,the Sromberg.I too don't let it warm up long,to
much of a hurray to get going,and make some heat.
