Well gentlemen, I did it. It's here:
http://tinyurl.com/55dyq
My reserve is so high ($34,900 - that's what I have in her) that IF she
sells she will most likely go to a non-Stude person, given our "frugal"
reputation.<g> Let's see what happens. My bet - she won't top ......well,
you never know....
Oh, any recommendations to improve the ad would be appreciated (that's
constructive recommendations <g>).
Finally, any & all bids deeply appreciated!<LOL>
Cheers,
Jim

I have no idea why, but on my screen the top (front view) photo shows
a very different set of grilles than all of the other shots.

Thats some beautiful truck !
Suggestion......get some interior and under hood shots in there
and you'll sell it if that looks as good as the rest...oh ya one of the box bed too
Jim Pascale - 27 Oct 2004 06:10 GMT
2 things-
-I have no idea why the eBay 1st photo distorts the front grilles for some
reason. They are stock like the rest of the car.
-I've loaded a ton of photos including the interior & under the hood. I
wonder if I loaded too many & eBay cut them off? They all show on my
screen....
-anyone try to view the wigwag light video? Does it work( the video) ?

Hi Jim,

I saw the video & thought that it is a fantastic marketing approach to
selling on eBay. A buyer could actually hear an engine run & see if it smoke
& also see & hear it drive down the road.

Unique approach & the first time I saw it on an eBay auction. Wonder how far
you could take the concept?

What are those lights supposed to wig-wag for? I thought it was cool but
never heard of them before & am curious of there function.

Best of luck on your auction.

Spencer

>What are those lights supposed to wig-wag for? I thought it was cool but

Itwas copied from early RR crossing signs. Somebody discovered that moving or
flashing lights drew attention.

if you look carefuly the light is  based on a brakemans lantern from trains. A
brakeman would wave his lantern sideways to indicate a signal to the engineer.
The movement of the wig-wag tailight is the same.

Before crossbucks and crossing gates, railroads like the SP and UP used
Wig-Wags, and many Interurban Companies used them when their tracks which were
in heavy use used them. I have a photo of a Wig-Wag that was used by an
InterUrban company to protect its crossing from on comming trolley cars.

_hit! A "0" feedback bidder is currently the high bidder on my CE! Probably
some pimple-faced 15 year old just surfin the net & dreamin'. No
wait....were talkin' Studes here. Must be some old geezer who can't see well
enough to realize he bid $28,100 & not $2810.00.  And, he probably thinks
he's overpaying at that price!<g>
John Poulos - 29 Oct 2004 12:43 GMT
If it was, he's likely have put in a silly bid and hit your reserve and
any bids over 15K have to come from a valid e-mail address, not a free
hot mail for example.
