Man that is a beautiful Buick, but it looks like a '48 to me. Anyone know?
My folks had a '48 like that when I was a tot. I remember the upholstered
grab rope on the back of the front seat for the safety of the back seat
passengers.

Mario,
It is 2004 now, but you can buy "2005 model" vehicles from dealers very
soon.
The same thing happened in 1947 - the "1948 model" vehicles were made and
sold in late '47, as well as most of 1948.
In the USA, the manufacturer designates the year and model of the vehicle.
So the model referred to as a 1948 Buick started production and sales in
1947, and was issued a title as a 1948, even though it was built in '47.
