How about that easy loading? I have a story to tell on Jerry and me:
Where the car was at and the way Jerry drive is, had Jerry back his Transtar
out of the garage, and to the back of the Lark, then pull the Lark and swing
back into the garage with the truck. I backed the two car trailer down the
drive, unloaded the ramps, strung the cable of the wench to the Lark, told
Dad to wench her up on the trailer, It hummed loud and thought the battery
was weak,
but that wench was working fine, and dragging the Lark and Jerry's Transtar
out of the garage. (Dam good tow strap)

Thats because they can be "taught" or learn to accept an alternative
spelling.

wench?
Jim Bartley on PEI-betting that a comely wench would know how to get the
machinery "up and running" forsooth!

That's because wench is a valid word. A wench can operate a winch, but not
vice versa. Per Webster: wench, noun...girl, young woman...female
servant...woman whose sexual behavior is loose and immoral...
