Can anyone ID this Continental Kit?  I believe it is for a 53'54 C/K,
but I'm not sure.

The stainless band that goes around the tire and the metal "toilet seat"
cover for the tire are not pictured.

Does anyone remember the TW issue that featured Continental Kits for the
53-54 C/K's?

Thanks,

Dick, looks as if it could have the right colour of paint on it to be 53
Studebaker.

S2D with a Continental kit?

Please, Dick, say it isn't so!

No way, Gord...IMHO any car that looks good with a Continental Kit,
looks better without one <g>.  I obtained the Continental kit pictured
as part of a 53-54 C/K parts stash (along with 2 '53 Starlight coupes) I
purchased recently.  I just want to confirm that it IS for a 53-54
before I pedal it.

Dick when are you going to start selling some of that stash ? As you know I
am still looking for a few things for my 53 coupe.

I did buy this stuff to resell it...it's just a matter of getting
organized on my end.  One of the Starlights is a complete, original 6
cyl/auto.  It has been sitting in a garage for at least 15 years.  The
other, however, is a 400 point restoration in progress (6 cyl OD).  The
chassis, drive train, body tub, and sheet metal are done (not finished
painted).  The rest of the parts appear to be there and appear to be
ready to bolt together (assembled Phantom interior, new wide whites,
chrome all redone, interior parts finished painted, etc).  There are
other parts (many NOS) that don't go to the car under restoration.  I
need to bundle all the parts that go with the car under restoration
since I'd like to sell that as a unit.  The rest of the parts I'll sell
individually.  When I get organized I'll let the NG know what is available.
