I never understood why anyone would want a claustrophobic experience

Because it looks really cool? I don't know what it would be like from
the inside looking out, but damn, I like that look.

I have a '55 Coupe with a chopped top and let me tell you visibility
is the pits. Here is a link to various stages of this car. The top was
chopped in the early 60's. Started out as black prime then yellow and
now purple done in 1995.
This car uses a '50 Ford rear window.
