I can't find the FAQs for this NG
can I post for sale ads here without getting ripped a new posterior?
Thanks

Usually no, that's frowned upon, even without a charter. It's best to post
for sales in your local forsale newsgroups.

Sure, if it's of interest to Subaru owners.

I'm gonna have to side with Yousuf on this one, just because being a global
news group, you can be guaranteed that your "FS:" post will not be of
interest to 99% of the readers.

Someone looking for a used Soobie will most likely be looking locally.

good point - but as a long time contributer to alt fan landrover we operated
on the basis of live and let live - private ads are of interest wherever you
live we all posses assinine curiosity as to how much everyone else pays.
Dominics point is valid this is posted on the World Wide Web a fact often
overlooked in some quarters  he is fortunate in that his email addy shows
his Canadian origin many do not including mine (England) and he isnt really
that far from the US border in case of needing a part not available in
canada  plus of course when I bought my new camera online from Canada it was
actually quicker by far than buying from a UK supplier. It makes sense to
include your location in any question /offer especially  those which start
"where can I?" no point in me telling you where to get your Scooby tuned if
it includes an ocean crossing but if you happen to be coming over on holiday
I can source you a "frangible widget" with no problem -I found a driveshaft
repair kit  for an american A.F.L. user .(btw the Viagra and pornsite
posters can rot in hell) maybe we are a special case on A F L but its very
pally over there and we get few moron posts to sensible questions and not
much flaming

www.nasioc.com  www.i-club.com  www.subaruoutback.com  www.usmb.net  for
specifics. There is a yahoo group as well.

Well if it's for hard to find parts that can be shipped, why not?

Good point!  I was assuming that Novak was talking about selling a car.
