Noise on turns

When I have my 04 OBW w/auto tranny stopped and start out on a turn,
such as you would when stopped at an intersection and making a right or
left turn, I hear a noise that sounds like a tire dragging.  It only
lasts for a second.  The car only has about 1200 miles on it.  Is this
normal, a problem.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Thanks

04 OBW H6 LL Bean - same noise from the beginning. I took the Subaru dealer
mechanic for a drive to hear it, and he said it is normal. In fact, he knew
what I was talking about before he heard it. Says they all do it, and
sometimes the sound may change over time. Since we are both experiencing it,
that may really be the story...

Maybe.  I plan on taking it to a parking lot and do some tight turn
circles and see what I hear (see what I hear?).
Then when the tires cool, I'll make sure the pressure is the same in all
of them.
