Just bought a fantastic 93 Loyale...everything is perfect except the
radio doesn't save presets I've put in..

In fact, every time I start the car, the radio goes to AM at the lowest
frequency, not remembering anything, so every time I have to click for
FM, then manually put in the station. I have the Haynes repair manual,
but it doesn't cover silly stuff like this!  Haha!

I know this is a nitpicky thing, but I sure would love to not have to
do that every time (and I'm a picky radio listener, has to be the NPR
station...I am such a nerd! haha!).

Thanks in advance! New to this forum board and found a lot of good
information.

Owned a 1986 (I think) Subaru Legacy AWD wagon in the past, and LOVED
it until it had bad tranny problems and I couldn't afford to fix.

I was VERY happy to find this great '93 Loyale for $1200.00.  Bought it
from a very nice family that had all the maintenance records and had
kept it in great condition.

I hope you have good luck with it. I am new to Subaru but have enjoyed
reading about people's experiences with them from way back to the
present. In addition to some great folks here, you may find additional
info about your car at www.usmb.net . There are some folks there that
are wizards at keeping older soobs on the road - I mention it because
someone there may have a radio or know where one is in a wrecking yard
should you decide to replace your with another stock unit. If you want
something newer - www.crutchfield.com or your local Best Buy, etc. may
have something.

welcome to the group

Thanks Carl!  I really appreciate your help!

I have always enjoyed working on cars, and find the Subaru a nice
challenge..

Not as big as a Ford F-150 or such...small and efficiently built..!  :
)

One of my weak points has always been audio stuff...fixed the problem,
now onto the A/C leak going on...and...I have a 1975 VW bus I'm working
on too..haha!

Have a nice day everyone!

Uhh...sorry!  Haha!  I fixed the prob...had connected a blue connector
behind the radio to the wrong thing...and so on...

Hehe!  It's working pretty good now..

Now to figure out the A/C leak...yeah!
