Cam & Crank seals per vehicle?

I'm just curious, are 2 camshaft and 2 crankshaft seals required per engine?
Being that I've never actually worked in or torn a block apart, I feel kind
of ignorant for asking that.

Two crank seals if you're doing both ends,
one if you're just doing the front.

Four cam seals if you have a DOHC and
you're doing both sides.
