My cruise control only works intermittently
on my 05 LegacyGT 5MT. It will be working fine for maybe 5 or 10 minutes,
and then it switches off and it does not make any difference what I do do
make it work after that, but sometimes after half an hour I can turn it on
again, set it and it works - but not for long!
I tried it at speeds of 65, 77 and 85 but the input speed makes no
difference.

Possibly something as simple as a slightly mis-adjusted switch on the
brake pedal. have you spoken to the dealer about it?

There is a reflash of the ECM available at the dealer to fix that
problem

Make sure that they get the right one... there were TWO fixes, the
first of which didn't work for more than about two weeks for me.
Luckily the dealer reflashed to the second (out of warranty) for free
since the first (back in December) didn't work.  We'll see if this one
fixes the problem or not.
