awesome thread w/pics of auto-tranny torque bind failure

I know the title is a little long - but this thread shows precisely what
happens in the wet clutch pack part of the auto tranny in a torque
binding failure mode;

Same thing happens to motorcycle clutches!

The root cause is the hub material is insufficiently hard, and the
clutch plates of course are always in the same spot.

If you could change the plate order (prob not though) you could just
put the plates in the spots without the grooves.
