Hi all, I've just purchased a second hand Impreza RX manual hatch. I came to take one of the wheels off for the first time today, and there is no wheel nut tool supplied with the vehicle. I managed to get it done by borrowing a tool off a friend. Is this standard, or has a previous owner just lost it? If so, what should I replace it with? Thanks for any input! Wheel nut tool as in "socket wrench" or "tire iron"? Just get a replacement from any car parts store. I think it's 12 MM but they should let you take it to the parking lot to make sure it fits. I'm no expert, I'm afraid. The owners manual refers to it as the wheel nut tool, but doesn't mention where (or if) it's located in the vehicle. I have the jack, and the jack handle, I'm just puzzled why no wheel nut tool was included. Thanks for your help. Try a 19mm socket. Yes, the tire iron is a standard tool that comes with the car when new. You bought a used car. It is normally there to use when you have a flat. I took mine out and the wrench (19mm) and a reversible screwdriver (+ & - blade) are in a pouch with the part number 97010AA050. Found it online for $35, includes wheel nut tool, screwdriver, & pouch. Looks like same for Impreza as my Forester. It is a grey pouch, with the above part number and Subaru in yellow.
