Probably not anywhere that requires a smog check.  It's a two
stroke, and burns oil by design.

They have done away with emissions testing in Mass, but the car had better
be in good shape! They gigged me on my Mom's '86 Camry cause the pass side
mirror was missing. It's been missing for FIFTEEN YEARS!!!!

When they did away with the emissions, they clamped down on fitness...

The thing is up to ~$2,000! I figured one of these would be ~$600. It is in fair shape and would be a
good restore, and an interesting vehicle to have.

For my job it would be good because of the room and the economy, but it doesn't
look like it has any heat!

However, from NADA:

Original MSRP: $1,325
Low Retail    Average Retail Value    High Retail
Base Price    $2,250    $4,150    $6,225
TOTAL PRICE    $2,250    $4,150    $6,225

NOPE! Ain't worth $2200! To someone, maybe...

yeah i'm guessing they didn't care about emissions testing in Paducah,
KY when the dude's grandmother parked the thing in 1982..
