Thought I would report back here to let you all know I have restored
newsgroup capabilities to my laptop.

Been a hell of a year, and newsgroups were of a low pririty to me, Lost my
brother Feb-2008, father-in-law My-2008 and a assortment of friends and
accuainenences. but now I am back.

My name is Steve, I am a ASE Certified Master Mechanic that landed (happily)
in a Subaru Dealer 3 years ago after a 4.5 year stint in Hell (lets call
that "Firestone")
I have just completed 6 weeks of Subaru training, and that means I still
don't know Sh*t, but have the ability to learn. I work in a small dealership
with 3 other Subaru Techs, 2 that are Seinior master techs and 1 that can do
the work, but don't want to do the ase tests.

I will chime in if I feel I have something worth saying.

Good to see you still here Carl.. Is Tegger or Jim Beam still around?

Sorry to hear of your losses.

Glad to see you're back!

Remind us what part of the country you're in.

One thing I was just wondering about yesterday. (had to drain oil from
SIL's car due to massive overfilling - don't ask) How does PCV work on a
turbo-charged engine like Soobs? NA is easy due to intake suction - but
with forced induction.....

Waaay ofer here on the left coast (Oregon)

I don't see any real diffefence between the trubo's and the NA as far as the
PCV system, the turbo still has suction in the intake at idle and low RPM.
i'll ask the oldtimers at work tommorow.

Ah, so maybe there is a 'check valve' or something to prevent forced air
going the other way...uh, well, that's what the valve does anyway so....

lol!
