My Suggestion to anyone wanting to purchase a Toyota Camry needs to rent
one for the weekend first... I did not and made the worst mistake of my
life... I have a 2006 4 cylindar and nearly get run over every time i
enter a highway... the transmission cannot make up its mind what gear it
wants to be in and a Mississippi cotten gin sounds smoother....When oh
when are the good ole days coming back when car dealers let you try out a
car more than 15 minutes... Oh well I guess the next 5 years will be a
vaulable leason.

This is a troll. That configuration is good. Go f.ck off back to the Honda
newsgroup.

Lets not assume that the guy is a Honda owner. The guy is full of crap and
probably just wishes he had new Camry. We all know 4cyl. Camry has no
problem getting on the highway. I would tell him go trade it in. Being a
Toyota , it has lost very little value being the number ONE car sold in
America.

Only an idiot would enter the highway improperly, I drive highway
everyday and cant remember when my poor judgement required the car to
need maximum performance. Go back to school before you kill someone
worthwhile-the other guy.

Eric, glad to hear the wheels worked out okay. Do they look as good as you
thought they would?

Some of the problems you mentioned are well known. You may want to
search the respective newsgroups before you buy. I do.

You may have a solenoid problem and need a tranny ECU update. Get them
fixed before the warranty expires.

Also, go to www.alldata.com (now owned by Autozone), to check for TSBs
since 2002 (first year of the generation). Get an idea of what was
fixed and what to expect.
