I haven't noticed any hairline cracks. However, I have noticed that the camry in the past few years have just so-so
paint jobs. The factory finish is not that nice, the paint chips and scratches easily and is difficult to clean. It
seems that bugs get imbedded in the hood. It almost reminded me of honda paint peeling back in the early nineties.

I soon learned that my WHITE 99 Camry had BLACK under paint. WHY can't the
undercoat be tinted to be similar to the outer coat. Even the slighest nick
stands out a mile.

My 2004 Camry has exactly the same chipping problem. It's so bad that
there are chips near the rear window -  away from where you'd expect
them. The auto body guy who was repairing a minor accident said he's
never seen one up there. The front and hood are going fast.
