'95 Camry Wagon Rear Wiper Issues

We just registered this car, after buying it last month. The
previous owner said that the rear wiper sometimes works,
sometimes doesn't. Does anyone here know if this is more likely
to be a bad connection or ground, bad switch, or bad motor with
this particular model? Is it something a dealer could deal with
easily, or should I take it to an independent mechanic to avoid
an astronomical repair bill?

Did the previous owner identify when it does and doesn't work? I mean I
had an experience before with power windows that doesn't work when the
car has been parked under the sun. I mean the motor (or switch) somehow
is affected by the very high temp but worked OK when cooled down. I
never found out what was actually wrong with it. I just knew that in a
few minutes that window will work so I lived with it until I finally
sold the car.

No, he just said that it worked intermitently, and when he
tried it the day before, it didn't. That reminds me, though: the
power windows on our '95 LE sedan don't seem to want to work
sometimes when the engine is cold...
