I got back from a trip and my car wouldn't start.  It makes a very
quick repeated clicking noise.  I think it may be the starter.  My mom
noticed that the trunk was left open, and closed it a couple of days
after I left.  The lights work just fine.  I tried a battery charger
briefly and amp reading was fine.  (The battery charger is kind of
old.)  I still haven't tried jumping it.

Try leaving the battery charger on over night.

Definately listen to Daniel.

Lights working don't mean the battery is charged enough to turn over the
engine.
