GPS is not good for driving, its GREAT!

Start here and read the reviews:

This site is for US products so be sure it has pre loaded map for Canada as
well. You should make sure it has enough memory to retain all maps. Make
sure it as a fast processor for recalculation, long lasting recharger
battery, a wall and car charger.

Even the cheaper ones now are pretty good. I saw a pretty nice GPS the day
after Thanksgiving sale for under $100US. It had voice announcement, plays
MP3s and real time traffic alert. If you have a Costco or Target store
around, you could try it for 90 days and decide if you want to keep it.

Many of the GPSs I've seen, the maps are about couple of years old which is
not so good if there are many new streets and freeways in the areas you
wanted to travel to.

Many of the GPS are manufacture by overseas companies where support may not
be the best. I have a German made GPS for the US market where one on screen
instruction is in German, couldn't tell time of day so as to be confused
between day and night driving mode - still waiting to have those glitches
fixed.
