1997 Camry
Yesterday while driving a light came on ,0n my dashboard showing a headlight
was out.
Today i started the car & the light on the dashboard was out & the
headlights are working.
What can be wrong?
I don't think the headlight could be bad because a light will work or not
work.

I have 1997 Camry. I don't recall any such light.  Are you sure it
wasn't the one that shows taillights being out?

I think that light just indicates that a lamp is out somewhere, not
specifically a head lamp or tail lamp.  Check all your bulbs, including side
markers, license plate etc.

I had this as an intermittent problem as well (on my '98 Camry). Eventually,
it became non-intermittent. I think that the bulb's filament was partially
burnt out but still sometimes making contact. When it finally blew out
completely, the indicator light stayed on. Check that out.
