Hi,

I have 1997 Camry LE - 4Cyl.

I am experiencing a new problem on my camry.

I was driving at 40mph.. and at Red Signal light, I was slowing down.  My
car was throttling (Shaking) and Engine was off.  All lights on the
dashboard were On.

Restarted the engine, and moved on.. It happened again after 30 mts..

Appreciate if you could hint what problem it is  and repair solution too ??

Some one was telling it could be related to Transmission fluid and some
others say Engine Idling..

Greatly appreciate your help.

Regards,
Rama

Well, it isn't the transmission fluid! It could be a dirty throttle
body and/or idle air control valve, or you could have an ignition
problem or a fuel delivery problem. Look at what has and hasn't been
maintained on the car, and start with the area or areas that are overdue
for maintainance. IOW, if it's had a tuneup but no throttle body
cleaning, suspect the throttle body or idle air contraol valve (IAC). If
it's had the throttle body cleaned but hasn't been tuned in 90k miles,
it may just need new ignition parts. Don't forget the fuel filter - they
do start to cause problems eventally if never replaced...
