I have a 98 Camry, 4 cyl, with 43,000 miles. The check light just came on.
What is the most likely cause? The Owner's Manuel and the Toyota Dealer are
very vague about this condition. The Dealer stated that if the light is not
blinking it probably is not serious.

Make sure your gas cap is on tight.

If you have an AutoZone in the area, they will read the codes for
free. After you get the code, you can make a more rational decision on
what to do.

Mine went on once for a month from filling gas with the car running in
winter. It could be many things, scan it.
